Due to spring conditions Steamboat Resort announced they will be closing the lower mountain and sunshine lift areas. All skiers and riders will be required to load and download on the gondola! The lack of snow this season and super warm temperatures have contributed to the closures.

Steamboat claims they are staying open till their scheduled closing day April 15, but I heard otherwise! Word on the US 40 street, is that there is a good chance of closing this weekend! The meadows parking lot will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the remainder of the season.
The mountain will be closing 33% of terrain…But hey don’t worry, instead of $105 lift tickets they will be $79 in response to conditions! Worth it?
