U.S. Ski & Snowboard raised nearly $3 million at its 60th annual Gold Medal Gala in New York City on Thursday, October 22nd, bringing together Olympic and Paralympic champions, former athletes, and supporters ahead of the 2026-27 winter sports season.

Held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, the event drew more than 450 guests and raised funds to directly support the organization’s 12 teams and more than 240 athletes. The evening celebrated Team USA’s medalists from the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games while recognizing the athletes who helped build the country’s skiing and snowboarding legacy over the past six decades.

Twenty-seven current athletes attended, representing the Stifel U.S. Ski Team, Toyota U.S. Snowboard Team and Stifel U.S. Freeride Team. More than a dozen former athletes also joined the celebration, representing generations of American winter sports dating back to the 1960s.

Among those in attendance were three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, 2014 Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy and 2026 Olympic and Paralympic gold medalists Jake Adicoff, Kate Delson, Noah Elliott, Alex Ferreira, Breezy Johnson, Liz Lemley, Chris Lillis and Josh Sweeney. Former Olympic champion Jonny Moseley hosted the evening.

The program featured a conversation between Olympic champion Breezy Johnson, two-time Olympic silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle and 1972 Olympic slalom champion Barbara Ann Cochran, who is Cochran-Siegle’s mother. The discussion was hosted by multiple-time Grand Slam tennis champion Rennae Stubbs.

The event also featured a fashion show from J.Crew and The North Face, debuting upcoming U.S. Ski & Snowboard collaborations with both brands. The new clothing lines are expected to launch in the coming months.

“For 60 years, the Gold Medal Gala has brought together the people who make our athletes’ success possible. Seeing our Milano Cortina medalists share the room with the legends and alumni who helped build our legacy shows how each generation builds on the last. Thank you to our donors, partners, trustees, alumni board members and Gala co-chairs for supporting our athletes as they begin the 2026-27 season.” – Sophie Goldschmidt, president and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

Guests contributed through table purchases, a live paddle raise and a silent auction. All proceeds directly benefit U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes as they prepare for another season of international competition.
