The folks at Copper Mountain in Colorado just officially wrapped summer operationsand they already have their sights set on getting their chairlifts running for the upcoming winter season and have announced that they will kick off the 2026/27 ski season on Friday, November 6th!
“Following another action-packed summer at the Athletes Mountain, Copper is gearing up to welcome guests back to the mountain for another winter of skiing and riding, progression, competition and unforgettable experiences.”
Beyond the kickoff of the season, all you Copper skiers and snowboarders can look forward to the Stifel Copper Cup on November 28th-29th when the world’s fastest alpine ski racers will battle it out on the slopes.
The two-day competition will feature men’s Super-G on Saturday, followed by men’s giant slalom on Sunday. Fans can purchase grandstand seating and VIP experiences for either day or the entire weekend. The action will continue Saturday night with a free concert by headliner O.A.R. in Center Village, following the bib draw for Sunday’s giant slalom. Lets GO!
