There are some pretty wild mountain bike competitions out there, whether they’re on the iconic desert features of the American southwest or in someone’s backyard, but this competition in Prague, Czech Republic, is one of the most unique competitions we’ve ever seen.
Instead of hosting the race on a mountain or through a town, this course was built through a shopping mall utilizing the different stores, stairs, and features to create an incredible indoor route. According to Prague Daily News, this year’s Arkády Trigea DownMall 2026, as it’s called, began in the “World of Jellyfish” exhibition before winding its way through the shopping center.
This year featured both a downhill race, as we see in the clip above, and a slopestyle competition in which competitors are given three runs to throw down with the best two counting toward their score.
No information has been released about a 2027 version of the event quite yet, but it’s worth keeping an eye on their social media page to see if one will go down. That’s certainly an event I’d like to see in person.
