Corbet’s Couloir at Jackson Hole is one of the most notorious ski runs in the world, known both for its difficulty and its accessibility. Easily accessed from the Tram, this daunting run tends to gather quite an audience of those hoping to test their ski or snowboard skills and those hoping to watch someone test their ski or snowboard skills.
There are a lot of ways one can successfully hit Corbet’s Couloir, from sending massive airs to using the Goat Path on their way down. The way this guy does, however, is not recommended.
So what’s the main issue with his attempt? Probably the lack of a helmet. If you’re going to ski something as notorious as Corbet’s Couloir, you should probably throw on a helmet to prevent some head injuries, or be ready for a major headache that you’ll likely be stuck with for a couple of days.
