British Columbia — After a snowy winter and even some June skiing, lots of improvements were made at Mt. Washington Alpine Resort.

This week, Mt. Washington Alpine Resort revealed what work they did over the offseason at the mountain. This offseason, Pacific Group Resorts (the owner of Mt. Washington) spent $3 million (presumably Canadian dollars) on various projects at the ski resort.

Some of the highlights include brush-cutting terrain, night-skiing improvements, mechanical upgrades to the Hawk and Whiskey Jack chairlifts, adding snowmaking to the tubing park, acquiring two new snowcats and an excavator, new rental equipment, and a new bus to transport skiers to the base area.

The lodge was a priority point. Upgrades included refreshing several areas, adding a new bartop to the pub, revamping the food and beverage menu thanks to a new executive chef, and creating a new apres space upstairs.

Mt. Washington’s projected opening day is Friday, December 12th.
