Winter Park Resort in Colorado has officially announced their closing day for this upcoming Sunday, May 18.
The Winter Park side of the mountain has been closed since late April, with skiing and snowboarding set to continue on Mary Jane and Parsenn Bowl as late as possible. As of Monday, May 12, 6 of 24 lifts are still open serving 60 of 171 trails.
Winter Park has seen 368 inches of total snowfall this season. Their base currently sits at 47 inches, and scattered thunderstorms are in the village forecast for this Wednesday.
Saturday, May 17, will host the season’s last party at the Jane Beach with live music, food and drink specials, sunny skies, and good vibes. Then Sunday, May 18 will mark the official closing day for the ski resort. Following Winter Park’s closure, Arapahoe Basin will be the final ski resort open in Colorado.
