What’s the best ski resort in Vermont? It’s a tough debate, as many mountains have their unique quirks and snow clouds that make them better than the traditional Ice Coast conditions.

This past weekend, PeakRankings released a video that ranks the best ski resorts in Vermont. This list was compiled by using their comprehensive score methodology, which rates mountains based on snow quality, resiliency, size, terrain diversity, challenge, lifts, crowd flow, facilities, navigation, and mountain aesthetic.

Their top five are Stratton, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, Stowe, and Killington. The Beast of the East takes the top spot, which is my top pick too in Vermont. It’s hard to beat the terrain variety, lift network, and après scene at Killington. The one omission from the list is Burke Mountain Resort, which is known for its glade network and racing programs.
