Homeowners in Breckenridge captured this security of footage of a mountain lion prowling their neighborhood. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials say residents who live in places like Breck should take some simple precautions to coexist with predators including installing lights and eliminating hiding spots near your home can make it harder for big cats to hide. Always keeping a very close eye on your children and your pets while outdoors and making a lot of noise when you come and go, especially at dawn and dusk, when mountain lions are most active….thinking your ski gear rattling while you load up for a pow day will suffice. Be safe out there folks.
