Alta Ski Area dropped the ropes on Devil’s Castle yesterday to much fanfare and excitement online, and on the mountain.
Despite substantial snowfall since the beginning of February, it’s the first time the area has been open all season.

Devil’s Castle is a beloved bowl that runs the width of the ‘Sugarloaf’ Lift to the iconic Castle Apron.
It must have been torture for the Alta faithful to stare out at the untracked powder laying in DC over the last couple weeks, but kudos to Alta Ski Patrol for opening the zone for the remainder of the season (hopefully)!
