When the Norway Lift was built Jimmy Carter was president and the top song of the year was Night Fever by The Bee Gees….so yeah its been a while.
A-Basin teamed up with the Leitner-Pomo lift company to work together to remove the Norway Lift towers that have taken skiers from mid-mountain to the summit for the last 40 years.
The metal from the towers will be recycled and the chairs were sold to benefit charities. More than $18,000 generated from sales was spread across more than a dozen charities in the area.
A-Basin is planning on installing a new 4pack chairlift in its new terrain called The Beavers with that project expected to be complete in October.
