Winner-winner, southern Utah’s Brian Head Resort gets a chicken dinner! After 9″ of snow fell on the southern Utah resort, spirits are picking up after a lackluster beginning to the season kept skiers and riders home for the month of December. That changes now as NOAA is projecting a change to western weather over the next month with more snow + cold temps in their outlook.
As most of you know weather in Utah is highly influenced by the terrain. This is evident from these two images on I-70 taken about 10 miles apart. Downsloping off the terrain causes areas such as Fremont Jct. to receive much less snow in this flow then areas further west. #utwx pic.twitter.com/u0q35Uqu01
