A beautiful ski run in the Alps.

There are plenty of reasons to love skiing in the Alps, from the towering mountain scenery to the seemingly endless collection of perfectly groomed pistes. But sometimes the best way to appreciate it all is to simply point your skis downhill and enjoy the ride.

European ski instructor and content creator Marius Quast recently shared a beautiful first-person video of the Frommes run at Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in Tyrol, Austria. The 7.2-kilometer (4.5-mile) descent winds from the Schönjoch mountain station down toward Fiss, offering sweeping Alpine views along the way. The run looks particularly increidble during the final hours of daylight, when the setting sun creates some incredible lighting.

A Sunset Ski Run Through the Austrian Alps

At approximately 4.5 miles long, the Frommes run offers a substantial descent for skiers looking to make the most of their time on the mountain. Its combination of length, scenery, and impressive views toward the surrounding Tyrolean peaks makes a compelling case for Quast’s claim that it’s one of the most beautiful ski runs in the Alps.

There are a lot of beautiful ski runs throughout the Alps, including those in France, Switzerland, Italy, and everywhere else. Whether this run is the prettiest valley run in Tyrol is up for debate, but this footage certainly makes a strong argument. The sun certainly seems to be giving it quite a boost, though.

Whatever the case, this video, and many of Quast’s raw POV videos, are great to throw up on the TV when you can’t be on the mountain yourself. He should consider creating a nice big super cut on his channel that we can put on at parties for some background ambiance.
