Doug Evans has skied every month for 282 months straight.

Most skiers and snowboarders aim to get on snow somewhere between 4 and 6 months out of the year. Some more hardcore people will shoot for every month of the year. For Doug Evans, it’s become his way of life. Evans has now skied for 282 consecutive months, a streak spanning more than 23 years without missing a single month.

A new short film from Rab, titled Continuum, explores Doug’s story and his remarkable streak. Rather than focusing on the number itself, the film takes a deeper look at Evans’ lifelong relationship with skiing and the mountains.

A Lifetime Spent Chasing Snow

Continuum follows Evans from his early days chasing powder in Colorado to the quieter routines that have kept him skiing over the decades. Even after the lifts stop spinning, Evans continues searching for snow, often finding hidden snowfields and remote places where he can keep doing what he loves.

The film explores how that relationship has evolved over time. What may have started as a pursuit of fresh powder and new adventures has gradually become something much deeper, built around a connection to the mountains, solitude, and the people encountered along the way.

Continuum premiered on Saturday, October 31, making it a fitting release as the North American ski season begins to ramp up. For anyone who has ever gone out of their way to find snow, regardless of the conditions or time of year, Evans’ story is likely to feel familiar.
