The fight to find coverage of the Alpine Ski World Cup just got a whole lot easier in the United States. In the past, some races were featured on NBC Sports or Peacock while others were featured on different websites, meaning you might need several subscriptions to watch every alpine race of the season (if you’re a fan of sports, you’re no stranger to this issue).
This year things are different. NBC Sports will now broadcast every Alpine Ski World Cup and World Championship race under expanded media rights agreements with U.S. Ski & Snowboard and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS)
Announced on October 21st, the agreement extends NBC Sports’ partnership with U.S. Ski & Snowboard through 2030. Every Alpine World Cup and World Championship race will stream on Peacock, with additional coverage of major events on NBC and NBCSN. Domestic events will also be available on demand through Peacock and YouTube.
The deal brings several major Alpine skiing events back to NBC Sports, including the Hahnenkamm Races in Kitzbühel, Austria, the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho, and the Stifel Killington Cup in Vermont. NBC Sports will also cover the 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
World Cup Coverage Begins This Weekend
Coverage kicks off this weekend with the men’s and women’s giant slalom races in Sölden, Austria. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin will headline the action, with the first run scheduled for 4am ET and the second run at 7am ET on Saturday, October 24th, exclusively on Peacock.
American fans will get their first domestic World Cup coverage during the Stifel Killington Cup on November 28th. NBC and Peacock will broadcast the second run of the women’s giant slalom at 12:30pm ET and the second run of the women’s slalom at 1:30pm ET.
The 2026-27 schedule also includes Alpine World Cup events at Copper Mountain and Beaver Creek in Colorado, along with the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley. NBC Sports will additionally cover domestic freestyle events at Lake Placid, Waterville Valley, and Deer Valley, ski jumping at Lake Placid, and snowboard and freeski competitions in Aspen, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge.
More Coverage Across Snow Sports
The expanded partnership extends beyond Alpine skiing. Peacock will provide on-demand coverage of the U.S. stop of the Freeride World Tour (the Freeride World Tour has not officially launched their 2027 schedule, but based on this tidbit of information it seems likely that the competition will return to Alaska).
Additionally all other non-Alpine sports will be available to stream live on YouTube.
