British Columbia — We’re inching closer to ski season, and one Canadian ski resort is aiming to bring customers back after a challenging 2025-26 season.
Sasquatch Mountain Resort’s 2025-26 season was defined by operational struggles. The Sasquatch Triple (known locally as the Green Chair) didn’t operate at all, despite management assurances that it would be open. There were also reported complaints about parking and snow tubing. The operational calendar was also reduced, further angering customers. The ski resort is preparing for this upcoming winter, but not with certainty as to whether the Green Chair will operate.
Late last week, Sasquatch Mountain Resort shared an operations update for this upcoming winter. The social media update from last week shared new operating dates and hours, new pass products, and an update on its lifts. They were vague about whether the lifts will operate, saying they’re working to get them all operational.
The vagueness about the lifts likely reflects the need to pass a safety test, as required by the province of British Columbia. Also worth considering is not overpromising like last year, which caused a big backlash during the 2025-26 season.
Overall, it’s good to see Sasquatch try to be honest with guests. Let’s hope that the chairlift operates this upcoming winter, or they may want to log off social media for a while to avoid the negative comments.
