Okay, so by now you’re probably familiar with Indy Pass, one of the best things to happen to affordable skiing in a long time. Now, some of the same people behind it are taking aim at another expensive part of winter sports, the gear.
Snowvana is heading into its 10th year of hooking skiers and snowboarders up with seriously smoking deals through its traveling gear swap, and the tour keeps getting bigger. This year there’s a new stop on the schedule, and we couldn’t be happier about it.

The first event kicks off in Seattle next week. Tickets are $5 tickets online, but are free with the promo code getstoked26. Even if you just show up at the door, it’s only $10.
Seattle will host the first stop of Snowvana’s four city 2026 tour from October 16 through 18 at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park. The tour will bring together more than 70 ski resorts, gear brands, filmmakers and other winter-sports organizations. The Seattle stop alone will feature 15 resorts from the Pacific Northwest, Canada and Japan.
Snowvana founder Doug Fish said the goal is still the same as when the event started a decade ago, to help people find deals and connect directly with the people behind the ski industry.
“We are excited to celebrate 10 years of bringing the stoke of winter to skiers and riders of the Puget Sound region. Finding a good deal and creating A.I. ‘Authentic Interaction’ with the humans who make skiing possible in the PNW is what you’ll find at Snowvana.” -Doug Fish
Thousands of Skis, Snowboards And Boots Up To 70% Off,
Snowvana says thousands of new, current year, discontinued and lightly used skis, snowboards, boots, outerwear and accessories will be discounted by as much as 70%. Outerwear, mid, and base layers will be available for up to 80%. Seattle retailers Gerks Ski and Cycle, Mountain to Sound Outfitters and Sturtevants Ski Mart will all participate, with Snowvana-specific pricing throughout the weekend.
There will also be a public consignment swap this year, giving local skiers and snowboarders a place to sell quality used gear while supporting Team Alpental Snoqualmie. Anyone who consigns equipment also receives free admission. Consignment details and registration are available here.
For anyone who takes gear shopping seriously, Friday’s Early Access session runs from noon to 1 p.m., one hour before general admission. That gives shoppers the first crack at the Cream of the Swap Demo Center, which will include high-performance 2025-26 and 2026-27 demo skis that have seen limited use and will be sold at steep discounts. If you want check out what will be available at the Cream of the Swap, you can grab a sneak peek HERE.
Ski Resorts Are Bringing Deals Too
Snowvana is not just a giant gear sale. Resorts use the event to promote winter packages, sell discounted lift access and meet skiers before the season begins.
The Seattle lineup includes Crystal Mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie and Alpental, Mt. Baker, Stevens Pass, Big White, Revelstoke, SilverStar and other destinations from across the Northwest, Canada and Japan.

Willamette Pass is also giving every attendee a free lift ticket, while volunteers at the event will receive a Crystal Mountain lift ticket (volunteer info).
The strong presence of ski resort representatives is part of what separates Snowvana from a normal ski swap. Instead of simply hunting for cheap equipment and heading home, attendees can compare destinations, ask questions about the upcoming season and potentially find discounted trips and lift tickets at the same time.
Ski Movies, Live Music And Some Pretty Weird Contests
The weekend also includes films from the iF3 International Freesports Film Festival, with a curated collection of ski and snowboard films screening throughout all three days in the EDGE Outdoors Après Lounge. All film screenings are included with admission.
Friday night doubles as Snowvana’s official winter kickoff party, with doorbuster gear deals, happy hour specials, film premieres and Indy Pass giveaways. Live music, après areas and contests continue through the weekend.
The contest lineup is appropriately ridiculous. Snowvana will have a sumo wrestling arena, a Pray for Snow dance contest and the Atomic Frozen T-Shirt competition presented by Kuat, with free skis and other prizes up for grabs.
How To Get In For Free
Advance adult admission is $5 (or free with promo code getstoked26), while day-of-show tickets are $10. Kids 12 and younger get in free, and Toyota owners can receive two free tickets by showing their key.
Snowvana also offers a “Last Chair Special” with free admission during the final two hours of each day. That’s 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Seattle event runs Oct. 16 through 18 at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park, with general admission from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Friday Early Access begins at noon.
If you’ve got a gear list to fill before winter, this is probably one of the better opportunities to do it without paying full retail. Tickets and the full event schedule are available at Snowvana.com.
