As lift ticket prices at some major U.S. ski resorts continue to approach $400 for a single day, Mountain Capital Partners is taking a different approach this winter. The company announced that tens of thousands of $9 lift tickets will be available across all nine of its U.S. ski resorts.
The tickets will be offered at resorts across Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oregon. Availability will vary by resort and date, with demand-based pricing still applying to other tickets. Some of the $9 tickets will also include $10 in resort credit that can be used at participating mountain restaurants and stores.
Nine Resorts Offering $9 Tickets
The promotion covers the full Mountain Capital Partners U.S. portfolio. The nine resorts are Purgatory Resort in Colorado, Arizona Snowbowl, Brian Head Resort, Lee Canyon, Pajarito Mountain, Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort, Nordic Valley, Sandia Peak Ski Area, and Willamette Pass Resort.
$9 tickets are already on sale at Purgatory, Arizona Snowbowl, Brian Head, Lee Canyon, and Sipapu. Tickets for Pajarito, Willamette Pass, Nordic Valley, and Sandia Peak are expected to go on sale later this fall. Prices and availability are current as of October 5th, 2026, with tickets available through each resort’s website.
Major Improvements Coming This Winter
MCP is also investing heavily across its U.S. mountains. Purgatory will debut the new Colorado Couloir triple chair, opening access to seven new trails and connectors and roughly 40 acres of advanced and expert terrain.
Lee Canyon will add a new quad chair serving West Bowl along with five new trails, while Arizona Snowbowl will debut a new 150-foot beginner conveyor and additional snowmaking equipment.
Pajarito Mountain is preparing for a major snowmaking expansion that will increase its available water supply by 2,700 percent and provide top-to-bottom snowmaking for the first time. Willamette Pass is also expanding snowmaking capacity to more than three times its current level.
Kids Can Ski Free All Season
MCP is also continuing its Power Kids Pass, which allows children 12 and younger to ski free all season at every MCP ski resort with no purchase required. All nine U.S. resorts will also feature RFID lift access this winter.
Brian Head is scheduled to open first on November 6th, followed by Purgatory, Lee Canyon, Arizona Snowbowl, and Sipapu on November 20th. Opening dates remain weather dependent. The $9 tickets are part of Mountain Capital Partners’ effort to make skiing more affordable as daily lift ticket prices continue to rise across the industry.
