Miniature ski resort built inside of a garage.

Most of us celebrate our love for skiing and snowboarding by putting up posters of our favorite resorts or hanging up an old pair of skis (or an old snowboard), but Michael Claflin (@bigwhammies) chose to celebrate his love for winter sports by building a massive, miniature ski resort in his garage.

Using his 3D printer and some seriously creative moves, like cutting the legs of park benches to create the chairlift chairs, Michael has built up a massive model ski resort that features a ticket office, a parking lot, a terrain park, lighting, several well known figures (halfcabking and the Snowboard Jesus), and much more.

Since building the project, Michael’s begun 3D printing his followers and adding them to the model. It now features mountain climbers, base jumpers, and many more, but of course the main focus is the skiers and snowboarders.

While the miniature resort is officially named “Ski Sugarhouse” according to the big sign on the side, Michael does say that he based the design off Utah’s Sundance Resort. Of course it’s not to scale, but it’s cool to see how someone’s favorite mountain can inspire such a wild and impressive creation.

If you want to be included in this epic creation, you can head to his website to enter your name and information for a chance to be included. You can also pay $20 for a guaranteed spot on the mountain, or you can pay $75 to get a miniature 3D printed piece based off your favorite adventure photo.

Huge props to Michael for crushing this project. Make sure to give him a follow on his Instagram and TikTok. He’s done several other miniature projects, so make sure to really dive into his TikTok to see all of his gnarly work.
