Lac La Belle, Michigan — You know it’s the offseason at Mount Bohemia when they announce they’re adding more terrain for next winter. It seems like Bohemia keeps expanding its terrain every offseason, as is the case this trip around the sun.
Mount Bohemia revealed its latest offseason project in a social media post from yesterday. The resort is adding six trails/glades across the mountain, giving guests more powder-filled terrain to explore. The difficulty of these runs is unclear. It’s safe to assume, though, that these will likely be advanced, expert, or extreme glades. Boho doesn’t have many intermediate trails, and it has no easy runs.
The news follows work on the Voodoo expansion. Seven new runs have been sculpted on Voodoo Mountain, which is home to the ski resort’s cat-skiing terrain, which is the only cat-skiing operation in the Midwest.
If you’re curious where these trails are, they’re between the two existing cat-skiing peaks (New Orleans and Haiti) pictured below. Additionally, a touring zone near the Voodoo cat-skiing pod is being planned, but an opening date for that has yet to be announced.
Bohemia remains a lively place during the offseason thanks to its Nordic Spa. This offseason saw the introduction of a new Swedish Sauna. It’s reportedly the first of its kind in the country.
