One of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals is once again heading into the mountains of France. Tomorrowland Winter is scheduled to return to Alpe d’Huez from March 20th through March 27th, 2027, bringing a week of electronic music, skiing, snowboarding and alpine entertainment to the French Alps.
The festival has become a major winter destination since its debut in 2019. The event brings together tens of thousands of “People of Tomorrow” from around the world for performances across mountain and village stages.
The 2027 edition is expected to feature more than 150 electronic music artists, although the complete lineup has not yet been announced. The lineup is set to be revealed at a later date.
Music Meets A Major Ski Destination
Tomorrowland Winter combines a traditional electronic music festival with a full ski vacation. The event takes place throughout Alpe d’Huez and the surrounding Domaine de l’Alpe d’Huez ski area.
The resort offers 250 kilometers of ski and snowboard terrain, with options ranging from beginner areas to challenging descents. One of the mountain’s most notable runs is La Sarenne, often considered to be Europe’s longest black run.
Festival stages are positioned throughout the resort and in the mountains. The experience is designed for both skiers and non-skiers, with performances taking place from the slopes and village areas to the heated MainStage.
The mountain stages allow attendees to experience electronic music at elevations above 2,000 meters (~6562 feet).
Tomorrowland Winter also offers activities away from the slopes. Visitors can take part in experiences like dogsled rides, snowmobile activities and paragliding. Alpe d’Huez also features an ice rink and Alpine Coaster.
Food is another major component of the experience. Tomorrowland highlights Belgian and French cuisine, cheese fondues, outdoor barbecues and more than 50 restaurants and bars throughout Alpe d’Huez. The resort itself is known as the Island in the Sun and reportedly receives around 300 days of sunshine each year.
Tickets Go On Sale In October
The first 2027 festival packages will go on sale October 3rd at 15:00 CEST, with four-day packages and festival tickets following on October 10th. Festival tickets include general festival access and a lift and ski pass.
Seven-day packages include accommodation, a lift and ski pass and festival access, while transportation and a Discover Paris option can be added.
Tomorrowland Winter 2027 is shaping up to be another massive collision of electronic music and alpine skiing, bringing thousands of festivalgoers back to Alpe d’Huez for a week in the mountains.
