Amazing visuals from Argentina’s Martial Glacier where a 120 skiers lit up the slopes during Ushuaia’s iconic Torchlight Descent. The 31st annual parade coincides with Mountaineer’s Day which is celebrated to honor the history and courage of those who first explored high mountain peaks, recognizing the generations of people who take on high-altitude challenges.
The celebration happened on the slopes of Cerro Martial Ski Resort in Tierra del Fuego, the world’s southernmost city and culminated with the burning of a giant effigy, symbolizing the changing of seasons and leaving the past behind.
