Maine The people of Maine became the latest to figure out that Lil Wayne isn’t the best at showing up to his own concerts.

It’s something that skiers and riders know quite well. His no-show at Palisades Tahoe in December 2024 became quite the controversy for the concert promoters, especially considering he was spotted at the Heisman Trophy ceremony that same weekend.

Flash forward to 2026. On Wednesday night, Weezy was scheduled to perform in Bangor, Maine. However, he was late to show. While guests were distracted by 2 Chainz and Wayne’s DJ, Wayne couldn’t get on stage before the noise ordinance time. Lil Wayne later publicly apologized on his socials. However, it was later reported that he was at Michael Rubin’s (another ski industry connection) Fourth of July party that same day. Fans weren’t moving in silence like lasagna, as many have requested refunds.

Since the rescheduling, various Maine businesses have been trying to explain what he was actually doing that fateful evening. Here’s how the joke works: a business said Lil Wayne was doing whatever at their business rather than being at the concert. Simple premise with many brilliant responses.

A few Maine ski resorts jumped on this trend. There was Saddleback Mountain, where he was found mountain biking. That’s an understandable detour, but I’m not sure why he’s on the trails early! Opening day for their mountain biking park is today, July 3rd.

Sunday River also spotted him in the wild. He was found raising his mic up to the roof of a gondola cabin. Hopefully, he didn’t hotbox the cabin. Not the worst thing to do in the winter, but it would be gross in the summer.

Lil Wayne has rescheduled his Maine concert for July 28th. Hopefully, he doesn’t make any pit stops next time.
