Capitol Reef National Park officials are asking for the public’s help locating 77-year-old Richard Discipio who was last seen at the Days Inn in Torrey, Utah, on June 6th, 2026.
Discipio may have been hiking in the Chimney Rock area of Capitol Reef National Park between June 6th and June 8th. He is 5’8” tall, 155 pounds, and has green eyes. It is unknown what clothing he was wearing.
A joint search and rescue effort is underway with units from the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Wayne County and Sevier County. Anyone who saw Discipio, spoke with him, or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 1-800-356-8757.
