Former Ohio State wrestler and current professional BASE jumper Johnni DiJulius survived quite the crash four years ago in Arizona, and now he’s resharing the story.
The crash occurred near immediately after jumping, with Johnni flipping a 180° spin immediately after throwing out his parachute. Both he and his canopy struck a cliff, shredding the canopy and making it impossible to steer. That wasn’t the end of the story though.
Shortly after dislodging from the first cliff, Johnni struck a second cliff, winding up stuck on the side of the wall. Fortunately he was able to find a little ledge and wait safely for assistance.
Shockingly he was more or less alright despite hitting the side of a cliff twice. He was so alright, in fact, that he was able to jump the following day. He’s still pushing the limits today, BASE jumping all around the world. Make sure to check out his website here.
