Congratulations to the folks at Boyne Mountain in Michigan who just pulled off their latest closing date in the history of the resort.

Boyne was able to push operations to Memorial Day thanks to a historic March storm that dumped over 18 inches of snow in a single day. The resort managed to consolidate the snow into patch they call Victor Glacier which held strong through late May (it’s still 5 feet deep).

Boyne skiers and snowboarders were treated with sunny skies and high of 79° as they wrapped up what will be remembered as a truly historic season for the northern Michigan resort.

“To everyone who made this the latest season in Boyne Mountain history. Your team, our guests, and everyone who kept showing up weekend after weekend. This season was a special. one. Victor Glacier delivered, and you showed up for it.” -Boyne
