UFC fighter Sean Strickland is facing a tall task this weekend in his bout against reigning middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev and the pundits predict it will all come down to his ability to defend takedowns and ability to get back to his feet in wrestling exchanges.

When Strickland isn’t toiling away in the guy or in the octagon professionally trading knuckle sandwiches, he loves getting out in the mountains and strapping into his snowboard.

Never one to turn down a challenge, Strickland got into a friendly grappling exchange a couple winters back at Brian Head Ski Resort in Utah and he defended the single leg quite well.

If you have been following the news, the upcoming fight between Chimaev and Strickland will be anything but friendly. Should he can fend off lower body attacks this weekend at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as well as he did in this Utah lift line, he stands a fighting chance to overcome the 5 to 1 betting odds.

Here’s a few more shred clips from Strickland. Dude doesn’t just mellow carve down blues, he is hitting the park and taking spills.
