Red Bull Homerun @ Åre, Sweden

Åre, Sweden — It might look like a battle scene from middle earth or hordes of eager shoppers on Black Friday morning but this is an actual sanctioned ski competition held in Scandinavia.

Red Bull Homerun celebrated its 15th anniversary this spring and lived up to its reputation as the single wildest mass-start race in action sports. 500 competitors sprinted uphill from the base, clipped into their skis or snowboards, and dropped into a high-speed descent jampacked with chaos, tight lines, and fierce intensity before transitioning to the next stage.

Ski racer Erik Wahlberg was wearing a GoPro on his helmet and captured the mayhem of the event as he carved through 150 competitors in a masterclass in speed and control.

The Red Bull Homerun 2026 was wet, wild and unforgettable. Heavy snowfall, whiteout conditions and strong winds made it feel like -20.2 F on Easter Sunday. Cheers to Red Bull for supporting this glorious combination of chaos, endurance and downhill racing.
