Miami, Florida — Ski racing royalty is in Miami as Mikaela Shiffrin and her fiancé and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde were in the paddock for day one of the 2026 Miami Grand Prix. Fresh off her dominant performance at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics and Wold Cup overall win, Shiffrin traded spring training at Mammoth Mountain for a bit of high-octane the South Florida heat:
The highlight of the afternoon came when Shiffrin crossed paths with Mercedes’ rising star, Kimi Antonelli. Not sure if Shiffrin is pulling for the Silver Arrows driver but she certainly seemed stoked to give him a hug and drape her Gold Medal around his neck for a quick photo-op.
Mikaela’s sponsor Barilla Pasta didn’t missed the opportunity to hook her up with a nifty bit of swag and created a personalized leather racing jacket for her to rock as she toured the grounds.
Not Mikaela’s first time taking in a Formula 1 event. Last year she attended the Monaco GP and even got to take a hot lap in a Porsche around the iconic street circuit. Great to see a world class racer in the midst of fellow speedsters.
