Mt. Washington, New Hampshire — Seeing sends and crashes of Tuckerman Ravine are cool to watch, but you may wonder what it’s like to reach the skiing mecca. Is the trip up there easy? To put it succinctly: no.

On April 18th, YouTuber Leah 💕 made a vlog of her trip to Tuckerman Ravine. She captures the initial hike into the bowl, putting on her equipment, and then the steep, steep (did I mention steep?) hike up to the top of Tuckerman Ravine. Her exasperation after reaching the top of the Bowl shows how you need to be in excellent shape to take it on. Then there’s the skiing, which offers a good perspective on the hikers and the sluff river sliding down the slope.

It’s reportedly been a crowded spring at the Pinkham Notch Visitor’s Center, which is where you should park. This means that you should arrive early. It’s also advisable to go check out the latest reports from the Mt. Washington Avalanche Center. Hazards are continuing to emerge, as an upper portion of the Tuckerman Ravine trail is now closed.
