A wallet discovered in Copper Mountain Village with illicit substances was turned over to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office after a good Samaritan brought it to deputies.
While the wallet contained no identifying information that would help authorities locate its owner, deputies found several items inside, including photographs, cash, a business card, and a small bag that appeared to contain cocaine.
Copper Mountain is one of Summit County’s most popular ski destinations, drawing visitors from across the country throughout the winter season. The resort is one of just 3 resorts still open as of April 22nd.
All contents of the wallet have since been booked into evidence. No arrests have been reported in connection with the find, and the identity of the wallet’s owner remains unknown.
