Ever since Lift Foils debuted the first commercial eFoil, the LIFT1, back in 2018 the pricey ocean toys have steadily gained in popularity for those that can afford them (typically priced between $10,999 and $14,999).
The experience of riding one is somewhat magical as you effortless glide above the water like riding on a magic carpet powered by a mini-electric driven propellor but these high tech watercraft have caused quite a bit of friction with the traditional surfing community and Lift Foils has taken a proactive approach to inform their customers that while their product is undeniably impressive, its not always appropriate in certain areas:
