Lac La Belle, Michigan — Bohemia tends to be a busy place each summer, as they work on various projects each season to expand their terrain and grow their off-slope activities. Unsurprisingly, this upcoming offseason will be no different.

The first expansion will be for snowcat skiing. The plan is to start cutting the new phase one snowcat runs (in between the existing runs) in April. Season pass prices will increase by $5, but will now include access to snowcat skiing via a lottery system. Future seasons will see more cat-skiing terrain open up.

The second expansion will create a new zone for backcountry touring. While it will only have a modest vertical drop of 200 feet, it will feature some of the best snow quality on the mountain.

Another teased upgrade includes a new Olmec-esque (from Legends of the Hidden Temple) fireplace on the rooftop of the recently opened Tiki Bar. More projects are likely to be announced in the months ahead.

Mount Bohemia remains open on weekends until Mother’s Day for skiing. With a snow total of 360 inches, Bohemia saw snowfall well above that of most Western US ski resorts.
