Spring conditions at Arapahoe Basin.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colorado – As much as we might not like to admit it, spring is here across the western United States. Trails are covered in dirt, lifts are coming to a stop, and ski resorts are closing down operations. Fortunately Arapahoe Basin isn’t ready to announce a closing day quite yet, but they have announced a few updates for the spring season.

Most notably, the Colorado ski area will no longer require parking reservations on any day of the week. There’s no need to reserve a spot online in advance for weekends and no requirement to pay when you have less than 4 individuals in your car for the rest of the winter season.

Those with spots booked for this weekend or beyond will automatically receive a refund. Beach reservations and Admin lot parking spaces to still require booking and payment, and those with existing Beach spot or Admin lot reservations will keep their existing bookings with no changes.

The resort has also announced some changes to their spring events calendar. Most notably, Flavorbasin V has been rescheduled to April 11th, the Festival of the Brewpubs has been rescheduled to April 19th, and Gay Basin has been postponed until this summer. The postponement will lead to an all-new summertime Gay Basin, with details coming soon. You can view Arapahoe Basin’s full event calendar here.

Once again, Arapahoe Basin has not set a closing date, and will continue to work to keep the skiing and snowboarding going as late as they possibly can. Get out there and enjoy the snow while it lasts.
