Sad news for Colorado skiers and snowboarders, the mogul haven of Mary Jane at Winter Park Resort will be celebrating it’s final day of the season on Saturday, March 28th.
The section of the resort was closed on Friday, March 27th, at 12pm to preserve conditions to send off Mary Jane right. Open terrain on Mary Jane is limited, with Galloping Goose, Sunnyside Express, Super Gauge Express, and Panoramic Express open on Friday.
22 trails are currently open on the Mary Jane side, including several black diamonds, in addition to 15 open trails in Parsenn Bowl. It’s not clear exactly what terrain will be open for the final day.
Mary Jane typically stays open later than the Winter Park side of the resort, oftentimes keeping the Super Gauge Express spinning until late May. This year the Winter Park side will stay open for skiing and riding as late as possible, but it’s not quite clear how late that will be.
