After aย devastating crash on Friday, January 30th, at a race in Switzerland where Lindsey Vonn ruptured her ACL and suffered bone bruising, her dreams of competing at her fifth Olympic games were in major jeopardy.

In a press conference on Tuesday, February 3rd, Vonn announced she was confident she would compete on Sunday, February 8th, in the Womenโ€™s Downhill medal event. Vonn just posted the following video of her back in the gym training with her ruptured ACL under close monitoring by her medical team.

“I’m not giving up. Working as hard as I can to make it happen! Thank you to my team and everyone for your incredible support. Keep believing.” -Lindsey Vonnย

Lindsey Vonn already has three Olympics medals and looking to add to that in Milano Cortina 2026. Vonn has overcome injuries before and has taken up a mantra instilled in her by childhood coach Erich Sailer who died in August 2025 at the age of 99.

โ€œItโ€™s only 90 seconds. Whatโ€™s 90 seconds in a lifetime?โ€ -Erich Sailer

Best wishes to Lindsey Vonn as she bravely battles back to get in the starting gates on Sunday for what will surely be the most watched ski race of the 2026 Winter Games. Rooting for you all the way. LETS GO LINDSEY!
