Utah’s Sundance Mountain Resort has officially announced the opening of the Inn at Sundance Mountain Resort, a brand new ski-in/ski-out hotel with 63 rooms.

โ€œFor more than fifty years, Sundance Mountain Resort has been guided by Robert Redfordโ€™s vision to balance development with preservation. With the opening of the Inn, weโ€™re honoring that legacy and protecting the character and spirit of this extraordinary place. Weโ€™re delighted to invite visitors to the Inn to become part of the Sundance story, past and present.โ€ – Chad Linebaugh, President & General Manager of Sundance Mountain Resort.

The Inn, designed by BSA Architects, sits at the base of the Outlaw Express chairlift. Two distinct wings connected by a footbridge spanning the North Fork Provo River combine to make up the building, with Mount Timpanogos sitting just head. The interior, which aims to draw upon the layered history of the region, was conceived by Fettle Design. Its design looks to create a balanced dialogue between Western, Scottish, and 1970s rustic influences.

The reception area features a tartan-clad desk and signature stone fireplace. Reclaimed timber flooring, rustic ceiling beams, leather stitch details, custom-designed furniture, light fixtures, and carefully curated vintage pieces all welcome guests as they check in. The rooms themselves continue the theme, ranging from king rooms to one-bedroom suits, all featuring suede-clad walls, patterned daybeds, and expansive windows with mountain views.

The building also features a living room with a European breakfast served every morning and “alpine tapas” and cocktails available in the afternoon and evening. The wraparound deck provides both indoor and outdoor relaxation, and a ski valet and boot room available exclusively to overnight guests make booting up in the morning even easier.

The Inn is just steps from several Sundance dining spaces and social spaces, including he Art Studio & Gallery, The Springs, Owl Bar, Foundry Grill and the Tree Room. Additional improvements around the mountain include 60 acres of new beginner and expert terrain and, in the 2026-27 ski season, a new high-speed quad chairlift that will add an additional 105 acres of terrain. Head to the Sundance Mountain Resort website for more information on the Inn or to book a stay.
