A skier collision on the slopes of Keystone Resort led to an alleged assault, forcing deputies to respond to the incident.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a man collided with a woman while skiing and attempted to leave the scene. In response, the woman’s husband attempted to keep the man there until the ski patrol arrived.

While attempting to keep the skier in place, the husband inadvertently bumped into the man, causing the man to accuse the husband of assault. Deputies confirmed that multiple witnesses, along with the husband, claimed no assault took place.

No charges were filed related to the alleged assault and neither skier was injured in the crash. Remember, just like a car crash, you are required to stay on scene in the event of an on-mountain collision until ski patrol arrives, even if nobody appears injured.

One of the most famous ski collisions of all time.
