Armada Snowboards
Armada Snowboards

Unexpected news from the world of snowboard gear as longtime ski manufacturer Armada Skis is getting into the snowboard game. Details on the new venture are admittedly thin but they do have functional website, promotional video and have announced a team of riders including Mike Liddle and Danimals.

1-18-13-1-4-1 -- Armada Snowboards 2025

Armada was established as the first athlete-founded ski brand in 2002 with JP Auclair, Tanner Hall, JF Cusson, Julien Regnier and Boyd Easley launching the company with two models of skis, the ARV and the AR5. From the start Armada athletes found themselves on top of competition podiums and the startup brand quickly gained recognition and traction in the industry. Flash forward 20+ years and Armada is finally applying their decades of expertise to the world of snowboarding.

They haven’t yet put any snowboards for sale on the website but you can sign up for an email list to “be the first to see what’s poppin.” Read the full statement from this fledgling snowboard below:

Armada Snowboards Mission Statement

Snowboarding doesn’t need just another brand. It needs another good one. A brand built for today’s riders, who, despite all the bullshit, continue to look at any slope, rock, or spot, and see nothing but possibility. So how do you do that? Our commitment is to relentlessly answer that question. Armada started with the people who live it. From our team riders to our product designers and everyone in between, this brand is built by lifelong, obsessive snowboarders. Our internal team is crafting a product and building a brand that is for snowboarders, because snowboarding isn’t just something that we do, it’s everything that we are. Gotta get back to work.

People

Every part of this brand has a lifelong expert driving it. Board Engineers with decades of design under their belts. Marketing led by photographers and artists, and sales managers who started on the shop floor. This isn’t a team we just assembled; it’s one that assembled itself around snowboarding.

Product Design/Development

Freestyle happens everywhere, not just in the park. We designed a line of boards and bindings that help you find it. Park laps or just the side hits on your way to it. Armada Snowboards are meant to be ridden with freestyle at the forefront of every aspect of your riding.

Testing/Approval

If it didn’t pass the team, it didn’t make the line. Every board and binding has been put through it by the people who ride them for real. Seasoned pros, lunch-lap engineers, reps that rip. From sidecut radius to binding buckle teeth, we tested and improved until we had 100% buyoff from the whole crew. This product line is made of what we all trust on our own days out.
