While the ceremony is scheduled for February 6th, the first event actually takes place on February 4th. Curling begins on that Wednesday, in addition to some alpine skiing and luge training. The first medal event, however, isn’t set to go down until February 7th, with alpine skiing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and speed skating all having medal events that day.

Several new events, including ski mountaineering, dual moguls, and team combined in alpine skiing, will be debuting at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Ski mountaineering will see its first ever medal events on February 19th and 21st.
