It was a wild weekend for drivers at Yellowstone National Park where ice and snow on the roads resulted over 30 wrecks, slide-offs and stranded cars. Park rangers had their hands full dealing with the chaos and closed all roads south of Mammoth Hot Springs on Sunday at 5:00pm to prevent further accidents while road crews cleared snow and increased tractions to combat slick conditions.
According to a Yellowstone National Park press release hazardous driving conditions will be continually assessed to determine when they can safely reopen the roads. The road between Gardiner and Cooke City, Montana remains open at this time.

The only road generally open year-round to regular vehicles runs from the North Entrance at Gardiner, Montana, through the park to Cooke City, Montana.
