Rope swing to ski pondskim
Rope swing to ski pondskim

Tip of the cap to Slovenian skier Domen Gabrijelฤiฤ and his friend group “Send it Slovenia” for coming up with this brilliant take on the classic rope swing. The boys taped empty soda bottles to the skis for flotation and Domen grabbed the homemade handle and jumped from the 65 foot tall riverside rope swing, letting go at the nadir (opposite of apex referring to the lowest point of a curve) for the perfect flat trajectory and had enough speed to pull off a pretty lengthly pond skim.

If Domen had held on he would have been launched skyward but he greased the release and nailed a smooth getaway. Here is his buddy Crazy Jenko demonstrating just how much air you can get with the same swing. Well done Send It Slovenia, this is awesome.
