If you are interested in taking a shot of double rye whiskey for a good cause head on down to Historic Main Street in Park City on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 and join the 9th annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski. The event hopes to break the current world record for longest shot-ski and all proceeds from the “spirited tradition” benefit local grant programs of the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club.
The current world record was set by the Breckenridge Rotary’s Shot Ski event held December 17th, 2024, totaling 2,477 feet in length, serving 1,401 shots, beating Park City Sunrise Rotary’s 2024 shot ski record which hosted 1,385 participants. Park City plans on setting a new record by serving 1,410 shots and raising a lofty $70,000 for charity. Volunteers are needed and they have non-alcoholic options for participants. Good luck to Park City. Cheers!
“Join the excitement of breaking the world record for Longest Shot Ski by volunteering Saturday, October 11 at the Park City Shot Ski! Booth volunteers, ID checkers and Shot Pourers are among the fun opportunities still open. TIPS-certified volunteers especially needed, but all volunteers have a spot. Includes a volunteer T-shirt and hat that folks will literally try to buy off your back!”
