Chairlift evacuations are not something most people ever want to experience, but they do happen from time to time. Knowing that the ski patrol at your favorite mountain is experienced and up-to-date on training makes it a lot easier to get on a lift with comfort. Patrol member Matt with Powder Mountain demonstrated how these rescues are conducted during their dry-land training.
Powder Mountain does not have a set opening date yet for the season. Last year the Utah ski resort kicked off the season on the evening of Friday, December 6th, for some night time skiing.
