Rangeley, Maine — Saddleback will be celebrating a huge milestone this season. Partially because of that, the Maine ski resort is offering discounted lift tickets for this upcoming season for those who are good at planning ahead.

Yesterday, Saddleback Maine kicked off its 65th anniversary celebration by announcing a sale on lift tickets. Currently, Saddleback is offering lift tickets for the 2025-26 season. This offer is available every day of winter, even on the peak dates. Current lift ticket prices for the 2025-26 season range from $49 to $99. These deals are available through September 8th. A key thing to note: if you haven’t bought one, you’ll need to purchase a $5 RFID Saddleback Flow card.

Opened back on December 30, 1960, Saddleback has had a whirlwind history. This history includes multiple tumultuous periods, most notably in the 2010s. Its remote location and slow lifts for most of its history made it a tough sell for most visitors, resulting in an inability to grow.

In 2015, the Rangeley double chairlift needed to be replaced, and the current owner, who couldn’t afford it, decided to shut it down. After years of rumors about whether it would reopen, the Arctaris Impact Fund bought the mountain in 2020 and reopened it for the 2020-21 season. Over the past several years, the additions have included a high-speed quad, T-Bar, a quad chairlift for the terrain park, a mid-mountain lodge, real estate developments, and snowmaking upgrades. Summer has also become a busier time for Saddleback, with it now being home to lift-serviced mountain biking, hiking trails, and a couple of dining options. As of the 2024-25 season, the ski resort features 68 trails, 6 lifts, and a vertical drop of 2,000 feet.

As Donny Pelletier and various moose have discovered, Saddleback’s beautiful location, fast lifts, and varied terrain make it a must-visit for avid skiers and riders.
