Revelstoke, British Columbia — Two of the coolest attractions in British Columbia are set to open up in the next few days, and they will be at the ski resort with the biggest vertical drop on the continent.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort has announced that the Highline attractions will debut on August 22. The new experience features two major attractions: The Highline itself and a view deck.

Guests reach this area by walking on a 300-meter (984-foot) path, which is known as the View Deck Trail. From there, guests can get to the two attractions.

The View Deck is a 60m² steel structure that is perched off a cliff, which gives dramatic views of the ski resort, the town of Revelstoke, and the surrounding mountains. The deck is situated 1,250 metres (4,101 feet) above sea level.

The suspension bridge, known as the Revelstoke Highline, is a 75.5-meter (approximately 248-foot) structure that connects two rocky cliff areas. This one is 1,690 meters (5,545 feet) in elevation, offering views similar to the deck but with a bit more vertigo.

In the wintertime, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is home to 3,121 skiable acres and a vertical drop of 5,620 feet. Due to its location in a temperate rainforest, tourists make Revelstoke Mountain a busy place during the offseason. Some of the other summer activities include hiking trails, lift-serviced mountain biking trails, an aerial adventure park, disc golf, and two single-rail mountain coasters.
