Removal process of a chairlift tower.

This timelapse shows the removal process of a ski lift tower over a day of work with a team working to connect the tower to a helicopter piece-by-piece.

The video comes from the removal of the Kanc Quad at Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire. The lift was replaced with the Kancamagus 8, an 8-person D-Line Doppelmayr chair with ergonomically shaped heated seats and tinted bubbles.

Introduced in the 2021/22 winter season, Kanc 8 travels at 1,100 feet per minute and features an adjustable loading carpet. The replacement was one of the first parts of Loon’s Flight Path: 2030, a 10-year planned focused on innovations around the resort.
