Thankful to report professional downhill mountain biker Nina Hoffman did not suffer any severe injuries after she went flying off the high side of a 5-meter tall wallride during a practice run at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup event in Leogang, Austria.
“People, I’m alive. I don’t know how I walked out of hospital with almost no injuries. Head is fine (for now), rips are bruised, spine needs another scan in a couple days to make sure everything’s fine. Obviously I’m stiff as a stick, but that’s okay.”
Nina wasn’t the first to suffer this fate as Raimundo Guzman did the same thing last year but he ended up landing wheels down before crashing. The good folks at PinkBike did an incredible breakdown of the crash and covered all the action from weekend which you can check out in video below.
