Utah’s Snowbasin Resort is excited to announce they have broken ground on a new trail for the mountain bike community in partnership with Eden Valley Trails, non-profit organization that builds, maintains, and protects trails in the Ogden Valley.
Snowbasin and Eden Valley Trails are working closely with the Utah High School Cycling League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) to ensure the route can be used for both NICA sanctioned events and others.
The new Hidden Trail Race Loop will run about seven miles and include rolling singletrack, flow sections, moderate technical climbs, and areas optimized for spectator access.
Built with high school mountain bike racing in mind, the design will accommodate approximately 500–1,000 participants per race. Hidden Trail Loop is expected to be completed for preview ahead of the 2025 NICA race season in mid-August.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Snowbasin on this transformative project to support the rapid growth of high school mountain biking right here in Utah.” -Alan Wheelright, Executive Director of Eden Valley Trails
