Loveland Ski Area is set to replace Lift 7 after the ski area closes for the 2024-25 season, bringing a new Leitner-Poma fixed-grip quad chairlift the mountain. To bid farewell to the old lift, Loveland will be selling off the existing chairs.

Due to high demand and limited quantity, the old chairs will be sold through a lottery system. Only 2025/26 season pass holders and employees of the mountain will be allowed to enter. Registration for the lottery is open now and will run until May 27, with winners notified by May 30.

Only one entry per season pass holder will be allowed, though multiple season passes per household are allowed. That said there will be only one winner per household. Chairs must be picked up by the winners between Monday, June 2nd and Thursday June 12th.

The chairs weigh 125 pounds and are 113 inches long, 45 inches wide, and 25 inches deep. The resort will not provide any tie-downs, straps, or assistance in removing the chair and purchasers must have the means to transport the chair on their own. You can read the rest of the rules and enter the lottery here.
